Screens that run themselves.
Lumzo puts your menus, promotions and dashboards on every TV in the business. Pair a screen with a six-letter code, design the layout in your browser and schedule it by the hour. If the internet drops, the show goes on.
Runs on Android TV boxes, commercial displays, tablets and Raspberry Pi.
Works on hardware you can buy today:
Android TV boxes Android signage displays Android tablets Raspberry Pi 4 & 5 Debian mini PCsFrom box to broadcast in three steps
No cables to the office, no IT visit for every change. Set a screen up once and run it from your browser from then on.

Design and schedule
Upload images and videos, build playlists and layouts, and set when each one plays. Every change reaches online screens within seconds.
Everything a screen needs, nothing it doesn't
Lumzo covers the whole job: what plays, where it plays, when it plays, and what to do when something goes wrong.
Layouts with zones
Split a screen into areas and give each one a job. Drag zones into place in the editor, start from a template, or go portrait for a menu board.
- Media zones play their own playlist of images, videos or web pages
- Scrolling ticker for offers, notices and opening hours
- Clock and date in the screen's own time zone
- Landscape or portrait, any resolution
Schedules by the hour
Breakfast menu in the morning, lunch deals at noon, events in the evening. Set time windows by day of the week and Lumzo switches the screen over on the minute.
- Different content for each day and time window
- Overnight windows, such as 22:00 to 06:00
- A default for every hour you haven't planned
Keeps playing when the internet doesn't
Every screen keeps its own copy of its content and plays from it. A dropped connection, a router reboot or a power cut doesn't leave you with a blank screen.
- Media is downloaded once, checked, and played locally
- Starts by itself after a power cut
- Restarts itself if anything ever crashes
- Catches up with your changes as soon as it's back online
See every screen from anywhere
Check what a screen is showing right now without driving to site. Lumzo shows which screens are online, what each one is playing, and lets you fix most problems remotely.
- Live screenshot of the actual display
- Identify: flashes the screen's name so you find the right TV
- Restart the player or reboot the device
- Model, storage, resolution and version for every screen
JPG, PNG, MP4 and any web page, such as a live dashboard or weather widget.
Rotate any screen in settings. No need to fight the TV's own menus.
Choose per screen how content meets the edges.
Save a playlist and online screens pick it up straight away.
The player takes over the device, so passers-by can't wander off into other apps.
See who changed what, and when.
Built for many locations and many hands
Run screens for several branches, or several clients, from one place. Each gets its own space, its own people and its own licenses.
Sites keep things separate
Every branch or client gets its own screens, media, playlists and layouts. Nobody sees content that isn't theirs.
The right access for each person
Give the marketing team content rights without letting them unpair screens. Give a client a read-only view of their own sites.
Downloads once per building
A small relay at each location fetches a new video once and passes it to every screen on the local network. Your internet connection stays free for everything else.
Licenses pooled per customer
Buy licenses per customer, monthly or yearly, and use them on any of that customer's sites. Renewals can be loaded in advance and take over on the day.
Your server, your choice of screen
Lumzo runs on a server you control, and plays on affordable hardware.
Runs on your own server
Lumzo is one Docker container. Run it in your office, your data centre or a small cloud server, behind your own domain and HTTPS. Your media and your screen data stay where you put them.
docker compose up -d
Signed-in staff only see the sites they're allowed to, passwords are stored hashed, and every screen and relay has its own access key.

Questions
What hardware do I need?
Any Android TV box, Android-based signage display or Android tablet running Android 5 or later, or a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5. Most screens are fine with an Android TV box costing about the same as a meal out.
What happens if the internet goes down?
Screens keep playing what they have, including their schedules, because every file is stored on the device. When the connection comes back they pick up whatever you changed in the meantime.
Can I manage screens for several clients or branches?
Yes. Each client or branch is its own site with its own screens, content and people. Administrators see everything; everyone else sees only the sites they're given.
Which video files work best?
MP4 with H.264 video plays on practically every device. Encode it at the screen's resolution, which is usually 1920 by 1080.
Can I show a web page or dashboard?
Yes. Add any web page by its address and place it in a playlist or a zone. Pages that need a login aren't supported.
What happens when a license runs out?
The screen keeps playing for a grace period, and you see a warning well before then. Renew, and it carries on without anyone touching the device.
